Heritage Accommodation

The Lodge is fully self catering, luxurious and private situated in the heart of Waihi Township.  It is just minutes walk to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and bars, a library with Internet access and boutique retail shopping. 

The house was built for Albert Clark and his family who moved to Waihi in 1892. Albert was a member of the court of Waihi. You may notice businesses in the town today still carrying the name Clark. The house was purchased in 2009 (neglected and in disrepair) by Robert and Sonja Scarth. Robert spent 13 months lovingly repairing and refurbishing the house and grounds to modern standards to provide functional luxury accommodation. The fully fenced private garden and deck off the dining room provides the perfect place to relax or entertain.  The old garden shed is now a shady retreat.
